MatchesMacneil Noronha is a promising 21-year-old all-rounder from Karnataka who has quickly earned attention through his performances in age-group cricket. A right-handed batter who also bowls off-spin, Noronha offers the kind of all-round versatility that is highly valued in the T20 format. He enjoyed a standout 2024/25 season in the Colonel C.K. Nayudu Trophy, India’s premier four-day U23 competition, finishing as the tournament’s highest run-scorer. Noronha amassed a remarkable 1,037 runs, including a marathon top score of 345. That prolific season earned him a call-up to Karnataka’s senior squad for the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, where he featured in three matches, his only appearances in professional cricket so far. Despite his limited senior experience, Noronha’s performances have been enough to attract interest in TATA IPL. Chennai Super Kings have signed him as a replacement player for the 2026 season, handing the young all-rounder his first opportunity at the highest level of franchise cricket.
